Single Axle Trailer
This trailer was built as a lawn mower transport over the summer of 2001. I am a little light on details since it was so long ago! Approximate deck dimensions are 10' long and 6' wide. I have since found that the width is too small for transporting the newer larger zero turn mowers that we have, but the size is still very convenient for many tasks. Wheel, axle, and spring package was purchased from Tractor Supply. The frame is a simple angle steel frame with a box created by the upper frame rail. The tongue and leading fender rail was created by a single piece of angle steel that was notched. My favorite design detail is the taillights integrated into the rear "bumper." The cutouts were torched as I didn't have access to a plasma cutter at the time. Base trailer flooring was checkerplate, and the ramp was expanded metal.
